Haley Lester

This 9 weeks I made 16 completed pieces. I don't necessarily have a person or thing as my inspiration. It is more based off of how I feel at the time and what I see around me. I focused most on my coil pot this nine weeks. The process took a very long time but I think it was worth it. I also took a good amount of time on foam slump. they gave me the best result and I enjoy them. I chose these works for my final because they are all similar in color and I used the same glazes for them all. Also they were all my favorite pieces. I'd say the process of forming coil pots was my favorite and I liked the process of glazing. If I could have changed anything I would have just taken more time to finish each of my coils. Also I would change some of my glazes. I struggled a lot with throwing this 9 weeks. From the other students in the room I learned how to glaze a little bit better. Madison's demo helped a lot. I also learned some forming techniques from watching those around me.
